Materials from the Nonconventional Exploitation Factors (NEF) database can be used directly in DIRSIG. The NEFDS describes materials using a modified version of the Beard-Maxwell BRDF model.
The direct use of NEF materials is only available in DIRSIG-4.1 and later.
