The gas absorption spectrum is contained in an ASCII file, located in the directory identified in the ABSORPTION_PATH variable in the config file. The format is a simple, two column table. The first column is the spectral location in wavenumbers [cm-1] and the second is the absorption in [1/ppm-m]. The absorption data can be at any spectral resolution and does not need to be regularly sampled. The data must be in order of decreasing wavenumbers. An example is shown below:
