The Balfour Model is a simple thermal model for background materials. It is can be used to predict temperatures for materials such as rock, dirt, grass, etc. Key advantages of this model are its simplicity and that it requires a minimum of measured data.
This thermal model is only available in DIRSIG-4.1 and later.
